Spring is here and as the area begins to warm up, the desire to find new adventures and outdoor fun grows across our Triangle NC communities. Thankfully, all Chesapeake Homes communities are in areas that allow for easy access to all the spring fun! Whether you are new to the area or have been here for years, check out our list on all the fun that could be headed your way this spring.

 

·         Easter Egg Hunt for All

o   Closest to Highgate

Hosted by Clayton’s Park and Recreation this annual spring easter egg hunt is a great family-friendly event. With over 12,000 eggs there is plenty of fun for all.

·         Fuquay-Varina Museum Complex

o   Closest to The Farm at Neill’s Creek, Neill’s Pointe

History buffs will want to make a stop this spring to take a look into the past. Explore the history of Fuquay-Varina with the museum complex. This stop consists of four museums. The first Fuquay Post Office, “Squire” Ballentine Schoolhouse, a log cabin playhouse and the Centennial Museum. Admission is free and group tours are available for all those who want to learn a little more about this quaint small town.

·         Raven Rock State Park

o   Closest to The Farm at Neill’s Creek

Spring is the perfect time to shake off those winter blues and step out into the warm outdoors. Take time to plan a getaway and enjoy the hiking trails and biking trails the state park offers. Plus don’t forget to check out their availability for horseback riding, fishing, and camping.

·         Raleigh’s Spring Festival

o   Closest to Highgate

Spring is a great time to venture into the city. With plenty of festivals across the triangle of NC, the ‘Spring into the City’ festival is great way to discover local gems. From food trucks, live entertainment, shopping, and family-friendly games there is something for everyone. Plus admission is completely free.
