An expeditor integrates all field construction activities into a format that is the link between the project manager, field activities and office activities. An expeditor coordinates all information specific to each residential unit, individual homeowners' specifications, PORs, between the office and the on site production staff, subcontractors and suppliers.

Job Description:
An Expeditor works to maintain and facilitate the processes established by the project manager and vice president of production
Has skills and talents to readily convert knowledge and experience to creatively take the lead in keeping the site trailer organized communicating the project managers construction schedules to individual subcontractors
Maintains and submits to office weekly status update
Facilitates walk-through and closing schedules, and distributes this information for field and subcontractor staff awareness
Distributes work orders to individual subcontractors in response to pre-walk through quality control check lists. Communicates to the subcontractors both urgency and accurate scope.
Processes material orders, delivery dates of materials, logs materials and delivery dates to avoid duplication of orders. Keeps track of materials used daily on site, with the purpose of maintaining an adequate inventory.
Monitors and tracks inspections status and inspection documentation
Organizes and takes responsibility for all paperwork that comes from or goes to the main office
Reviews walk-through inspection paperwork and processes any items into work orders for completion prior to closing
Coordinates inquiries from sales staff, homeowners, inspectors and direct with the appropriate response.
Provides copies of updated production option releases, PORs, for the field to post on each unit
Creates files for all construction releases, permits and permit paperwork
